Mouse Cough

Buxco, in collaboration with the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases, the premier research hospital in China, has developed a software analyzer for counting cough-like events in mice.

Buxco pioneered cough counting in guinea pigs with an analyzer developed in collaboration with Novartis. Our patented and commercially validated analyzer - which works in conjunction with our whole body plethysmography system - correlates well with counts made visually and audibly. It does an excellent job of differentiating between coughs and other events, like sneezes.

We have now translated this success with guinea pigs to mice, a growing area of interest in the research community.
